The time between our first glimpse of the Himalayan concept being tested at Harris Performance and this BS6 Himalayan has been an absolute emotional rollercoaster. We loved the idea, hated the result, then the BS4 ABS happened and that seemed to make everything better. Royal Enfield finally had a refined, entry-level adventure tourer that was more reliable than it’s fickle predecessor. With the mandatory BS6 update, the Himalayan is about .2 horsepower off the mark and is about 5 kgs heavier. Naturally, we swung a leg over in anxious trepidation.
