ZF Friedrichshafen AG, a global leader in drive train and chassis technology delivers technology solutions across components for automotive industry sensing the current needs. The company acquired TRW Automotive on May 2015 which was skewing its focus on safety zone and acted as a hub in providing safety solutions to the industry. On acquisition, the company got integrated as active and passive technology solution provider within the ZF group.

The ZF group gets extended with these acquisitions and the company compasses its focus across component divisions in automotive industries and also across industries world-wide. Now ZF is looking to establish itself as a globalised player with a localised presence in key Asia-pacific regions like India. In automotive and non-automotive segments, ZF India operates through 9 plants in India today. It claims to have attained 70% localisation. What is new today, is that the parent company (ZF Friedrichshafen AG) has come to realise the need to establish itself as a globalised player with a difference.
