“I started drawing faces on peanut shells with a Sharpie about 5 years ago. They were brutal caricatures of me and my co-workers. It took a while to sink in that it was a pretty fresh concept, but when it did I was off to the races. It was so much fun to have a new hobby! I made about 20 in a month. Added arms, legs, paint, hair, etc… Each one was more elaborate than the last.

“I was fortunate to attend the first ever letterheads in the UK, hosted by Marc Curbishley in Cheshire in the early 90’s. There was only about 20 of us, if that. I met there for the first time Jon Leeson and his father Ray and Dave Smith, it was the start of an early friendship not only with them but with fellow Signwriters who used the Letterhead movement as a basis to share and learn from each other.
