The 9000 Series features the latest forage harvesting technology to provide customers with 10% more productivity while consuming 10% less fuel. Joe Spencer reports.
Field trials of maize silage processing by both John Deere and well-regarded independent research institutes have shown that JD’s 9000 Series consistently delivers 10% higher kernel processing scores.
At the heart of the three largest models (the 9700, 9800 and 9900) is the powerful 24,2-litre V12 Liebherr engine, rated at 727kW on the 9900 model. This high-performance power unit is designed to operate efficiently at lower engine speeds. Even below 1 400 rpm, it still provides outstanding torque and copes easily with peak loads.
