Mumbai’s St. Xaviers College joins hands with Shirin Merchant, India’s first certified behaviourist, to teach students canine behaviourism

For the first time in 150 years, Mumbai’s prestigious St. Xaviers College did something historic: they opened their doors to dogs! As part of the Government of India initiative making it compulsory for educational institutes to offer a vocational course to its students which could become their career back up in the long run, Xaviers decided to offer canine behaviourism to its students. Well-known canine bahaviourist and dog trainer Shirin Merchant, who is also a graduate from Xavier’s Zoology Department, was roped in by the college to teach the course.
