These tulips were my mother's favorite.
When she downsized and moved in 1983, she took the bulbs with her. And when she passed away, I planted them in my garden. A few years later a single striped bloom emerged. Tulip plants are typically not long-lived, but this bloom has returned for 24 years. Every spring it reminds me of my mother.
