FORBES AFRICA’s 100th issue is here, and with it, the mother of all lists! Africa, a continent brimming with beauty and diversity, has produced some of the finest minds and most incredible ideas, be it in business, science, art or entertainment, From Hollywood exports and Grammy artists to award-winning ideas that can save the world, Africa is not only diverse in its people but also its industries and creativity. For FORBES AFRICA’s 100th issue (since the magazine’s inception in 2011), we have curated a list celebrating these very ideas, inventions and influential role models who have spelt Africa’s growth over the last decade. We scoured the African continent, through extensive desktop research and phone and Zoom interviews, to determine those worthy for each component of this monumental list. Also in this issue, we look at a new creative energy that is seeing tech geeks give up their consoles and day jobs to take to full-time video game development. And then, we look at the emerging concept of semigration or pandemic migration. In addition to the entrepreneur profiles on survivors and thrivers, we look at how luxury personal shoppers attest to seeing an interesting shift in the spending habits of the ultra-wealthy.
