In this edition, we get to explore a new perspective on the way we travel. At what point do we draw the line when we visit a community, enter their homes and take pictures of them like we would an animal on safari? Much focus has been on Airbnb’s ability to become a new kind of online travel agency and a major disrupter to the traditional hotel industry, especially after a recent announcement from Airbnb that bookings in Nigeria have increased by 213% as of June 2018, with Ghana and Mozambique coming in second and third, what does this mean for hoteliers in Africa? Mapaseka Sekgala – a new addition to our editorial team, had lots of fun exploring the Seychelles and Tsitsikamma.
