a Record

Given the obsession that has
developed around lap times at
Germany’s famed Nürburgring
Nordschleife, it seems almost
absurd that the world-record
lap of the Green Hell stood for 35
years. It’s also fitting that the record
set in a Porsche was just shattered
by one. We go behind the scenes
at the ’Ring as the manufacturer
makes history—again—this time
with its 919 Hybrid Evo race car.
