SAFETY CATCH: is the safeguard duty a boon or bane?
Surging imports, predatory pricing policies and depreciating currencies of exporting countries are impacting competitiveness of Indian steel industry. The government aims to expand steel capacity to 300 mt by 2025. But will it be able to match this vision and yet have domestic industry participate in the nation-building process?
