And so, we arrive at 2024. The beginning of every year symbolises and brings on hope, joy and happiness. We have put together the essence of all forms of positivity on our pages. The month of September heralds the festive season for people across the country. 
The month also feels like the month of transition, seasonally and emotionally. That’s why we are also thrilled to have an actor – one who is never afraid of changing the game – on our cover. We have the lovely, extraordinarily talented Vidya Balan who lets us in on how she navigates her career.

It’s all about the blue this month! Our incredible hockey squad is competing at the World Cup that is being held in Spain and the Netherlands this month. They are currently ranked 6th in the FIH World Rankings, and are ranked as the best team in Asia! We also wanted to introduce you to the members of the team. Curiosity about them piqued post the Tokyo Olympics where their epic performance had us beaming with joy and pride. We wanted all of you to really get to know them through their stories. The lengths these fearless, talented, gutsy women have had to go to, to become national – and, we hope, world – champions, have been daunting. We honour them by amplifying their voices.

This June we absolutely cannot wait to watch Shabaash Mithu, a biographical sports drama with Taapsee Pannu essaying the role of Test and ODI captain of the Indian women’s national cricket team, Mithali Raj. Both of whom you can see on our cover this month. Both incredibly dynamic characters, they’re also admittedly very different people.
