The Mahindra Thar has always been the archetype of an SUV, possessing superb road presence, go-anywhere capability and it continues to be immensely desirable. We have spoken about these characteristics of the Thar in depth, but what we haven’t touched upon is the impact that the Thar has had on culture and lifestyle. Until now. Casually driving up an impossible trail is a regular occurrence from behind the wheel of a Thar, which makes us challenge ourselves to find a crazy new mountain trail every other month. For the cover story of this issue of Engage 4x4 India, we decided to drive down south in search of the highest tea estate in the world, just so we could enjoy some stunning views with a cup of tea in hand. In addition, Tarushi attempts a tight autocross track with the Thar, Ruman finds out what living with a RWD Thar is like and we send our fresh new recruit to the adventure academy for some mandatory training. Celebrating the spirit of adventure in the launch issue of Engage 4x4, the official magazine of the Mahindra Thar.

Legendary rally driver and off-roader Hari Singh takes us on a epic drive through the most remote corners of Arunachal. The Thar goes dune-bashing at its namesake.
