Environments
The degraded state of India’s environment may give room only for pessimism. But if citizens decide to seize the initiative, there is still hope. Read about the small steps in composting garbage that you can take in your own home, to lakes that have been revived by citizens coming together. Where there is a will, there is certainly a way. Also, among other stories, read about the strides made by the city of Bangalore in its long journey from a sleepy town, to a vigorous, crowded city, where time still stops in some of its nooks and crannies.

One India One People Foundation (OIOP) is a not-for-profit organisation, set up by the late Mr. Sadanand A. Shetty, an industrialist, in August 1997, coinciding with India’s 50th year of Independence. The purpose of the Foundation is to build awareness about various issues concerning India, in order to bring about a systemic change. With this in mind, he launched the One India One People magazine and the One India One People Clubs.
