Panerai’s Luminor Marina Bronzo PAM01678 graces the cover of the first issue of 2026. Bronze has been a long time coming in the Luminor Marina line, considering that it was in 2011 that bronze first made an appearance at the brand in the Submersible collection. Not just that, Panerai was one of the first brands to champion bronze for case construction, employing it in its prototypes in the 1980s. This facet, along with the recent technical updates in the line that were introduced early last year, makes the PAM01678 a watch worth knowing about. We chatted with Alessandro Ficarelli, Chief Marketing Officer, Panerai, to understand the importance of the watch, and the material, for the brand.
We also take a close look at Longines’s new Master Collection Year of the Horse timepiece, which celebrates the Chinese Lunar New Year – we had a chance to talk about it with new CEO Patrick Aoun, who also shared with us his vision for Longines. Other conversations in the new issue include ones with Kuruvilla Markose, CEO of Titan’s Watches and Wearables division, about how the brand is poised to take its place on the global stage; Tanja Brassler, CEO of German independent brand MeisterSinger, on the brand celebrating its 25th anniversary and its unique approach to watchmaking; and Stefan Kudoke of Kudoke about his artistic vision for the poetic timepieces.
The issue also contains our deep dives into what feels like the resurgence of chiming watches, with recent releases from Breguet, Chopard, and Blancpain, and a look at how Rolex runs its watchmaker training in India; another feature brings forth the strenuous conditions Omega Speedmaster is tested under. In this issue, we also highlight how we put together and executed WatchTime India’s first Reader’s Trip to Dubai Watch Week 2025, along with a full report on the top timepieces from the grand horology event.
