Summer is in full swing and we’re loving it here in the Your Home office. In this month’s issue we’ve got some fantastic recipes that celebrate the taste of summer using the very best of the season’s produce (p.100). And, if the warm weather has you reaching for the ice cream, then take a look at our mouth-watering ideas for frozen desserts on page 96 – take it from me, the strawberry and coconut ice lollies are simply divine! Our craft projects this month celebrate all that’s gorgeous in the garden at the moment, from our pretty makes with pressed flowers (p.60) and delicate napkins using the unusual hapazome technique (p.64), to the ingenious fold-down garden storage unit, made from a pallet, which doubles as an alfresco bar (p.62). If the hazy days of summer leave you longing to escape to the country, then turn to page 38 to discover how to give your home an easy-to-live-with contemporary country look, even if you live in the city. Over on page 22, we continue the relaxed summer vibe, showing how to make laid-back neutrals work in every room by mixing them up with plenty of interesting textures.
