The November issue is packed with interviews, features and advice for arts teachers and students looking to further their studies or a career in the arts. The interviews in this issue include author Anne Cassidy, whose catalogue includes several challenging YA novels; Canadian Rakugo storyteller, Katsura Sunshine, who gives us an insight into this ancient Japanese artform; with award-winning playwright Chinonyerem Odimba, discussing her latest play Twist and with the theatre director Sally Cookson, as she adapts a CS Lewis classic for the West Yorkshire Playhouse this Christmas.
On the training front, we look at a new digital resource to enhance the teaching and training of physical theatre performers and have some sound advice for musical theatre performers in maintaining a healthy voice.
Dance isn’t neglected in this issue either – with two features examining both the fantastic work of Frantic Assembly in encouraging male dancers, whilst Susan Elkin poses the question ‘why do so few men take up ballet?’
