After another COVID-induced hiatus which resulted in the cancellation of our Winter and Spring 2022 issues, SMJ returns with renewed energy and new incentive, some leading in new directions, others which may only be stepping stones to other directions. Renewed energy comes from Fashion & Design Editor Claris Manglicmot attending the first pandemic recovery runway event, Fashion Art Toronto. New incentive comes from the introduction of a fabulous new arts & entertainment writer (and a splendid musical artist herself), Paula Griffith, talking about her project Heart to Heart. The Editor-in-Chief looks back at a mentor he never knew, and with the Publisher, looks ahead at our 10th year of publication by testing potential partnership and recognizing 9 years.
