In this issue, the team travelled to Europe, and what could be more special than that? Starting hair and makeup at 4am is undoubtedly worth it when followed by a sunrise boat trip across the canals of Venice. Watching the sun peek over St Mark’s Basilica in a piazza that you know will be swarming with tourists before the sun is fully up is truly magical. We were joined only by Venice’s infamous pigeons and the odd local runner. See the fruits of this photo shoot on page 84. We were also lucky enough to be hosted by two of the world’s most luxurious hotels: Hotel Cipriani in Venice and the Shangri-La in Paris — both totally different, but equally exceptional. After a day of shooting around the cobbled streets and canals of Venice, the team were grateful for a dip in the Cipriani’s magnificent pool. And you really can’t beat the smell of freshly baked croissants and Parisian coffee while sitting on your own private balcony viewing the pearl of Paris: The Eiffel Tower.
