As governments across Asia and the Pacific race to keep pace with rapid technological change, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) is taking action with a new digital strategy that will help countries harness artificial intelligence and digital technologies while protecting those at risk.

“There is a technological wave breaking across Asia and the Pacific,” said ADB President Masato Kanda. “We can ride that wave to greater prosperity or be pulled under by it. ADB is harnessing these monumental changes to benefit the people who need them most, including through our $20 billion Asia-Pacific Digital Highway initiative to expand digital infrastructure, connectivity, and access across the region.”
