3 WAYS TO...
Stop your eyes from watering
1 ADD MOISTURE TO THE AIR Dry heat can cause humidity levels with a humidifier or place a bowl of water under working radiators.
2 STAY HYDRATED Drink two litres of water a day to keep your eyes moisturised. 'Coffee, tea and alcohol are diuretics, which means they remove water from the body,' says optician Nimmi Mistry*.
3 TRY EYE EXERCISES
These can help to alleviate symptoms of dry eye, says Nimmi. Blink consciously by keeping eyes closed for half a second, before reopening. Repeat 20 times to help the eye rebuild its natural hydration. Or place palms of your hands cupped over your eyes and breathe deeply for a minute.
