GARDEN KNEELER
YOU WILL NEED
* 52x75cm patterned cotton fabric
* 29x43cm plain teal fabric
* 25cm of 25mm-wide pink webbing
* 26x40cm piece of 5cm thick foam
* Matching thread
* Hand-sewing needle
Cutting out
From the patterned cotton, cut out two 29x43cm pieces for the front and back, then two 8x43cm strips and 8x29cm strips for the sides. For the pocket, cut out a 29x43cm piece from the plain cotton fabric.
1 Fold the fabric pocket in half lengthways and with wrong sides together. Press along the fold. Line up the pocket's raw edges with the edges of the front piece, so the pocket fold sits in the middle. Use a zigzag or long basting stitch on your sewing machine to sew around the pocket edge to keep it in place.
2 On one of the short side strips, pin the webbing 5cm in from each end. Sew the handle in place by stitching a small square at each end of the webbing, then sewing across the squares along the diagonals to secure.
