There’s a lot to be said for apps that do one job, and do it well. Apps that don’t get bogged down with endless superfluous features, raising the price and stretching the learning curve when all the user wants is to carry out a single task, quickly and easily. Captionista is such an app.
Captionista is for adding captions to videos. It doesn’t try to be an editing suite or an effects engine. It’s just for captions. It’s pretty straightforward to use too. First, open your video within the app, or record a new one. Type your caption text into the app’s Script tab, and style it by setting the colour, font, background and more. You then set it on your video. Simple!
