Pogba told joining City would be the wrong move

The United midfield is out of contract at the end of the season and will be available on a free transfer. The 29-year-old has been able to talk to clubs outside of England since January with Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus all reported to be interested.

City have also investigated a move for the France World Cup winner, although they believe he is now destined to sign elsewhere.
