TOURISTS have been baffled because Piccadilly Circus is not an actual circus.
They have moaned on TripAdvisor about the lack of trapezes, clowns and performing elephants.
One wrote: "Not a circus. Didn't see one juggler or clown. Stood looking up for a trapeze artist but no joy." A Canadian visitor said the central London site, famous for its statue of Eros and the Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain, is "not really an attraction" despite having "a very enjoyable day exploring the area" Another said the site was a "big flop" not a "big top" The visitor added: "All in all, myself and my family were left a little deflated.
