BOXING may be the McGuigan family business but there’s one place it’s banned – at the dinner table.
“We have a rule: when we sit down at the dinner table, we are not allowed to talk about boxing because it takes over,” said Barry McGuigan.
It’s an order from his wife Sandra, the mother of now twice British boxing trainer of the year Shane, Jake, Blain and the late Danika.
But boxing dominates the rest of their lives. Not surprisingly.
