A BLIND dog called Windsor has found a new home.
Charity workers had hoped a specialist vet could give the four-month-old Welsh corgi - the late Queen's favourite breed - his sight.
But investigations showed Windsor had juvenile cataracts and inoperable complications with under-developed eyes.
He has now been given a new home with teacher Elizabeth Fox in Chard, Som.
Before that foster carer Sharon Taubenheim, 61, looked after him at her Cotswolds home near Stroud, Glos.

She said: "He's undaunted, dashing around the garden, occasionally bumping into things, but immediately getting up and running off again. He's so gentle and kind.
"I'm careful to talk to him a lot, to help him recognise me."
The search for a new home was organised by animal campaigner Sylvia Van Atta, 63, and her charity Many Tears, based in Carmarthenshire, Wales.
She said: "We named Windsor after the castle. And we hoped that a cataract operation would work.
"But it wasn't to be. He's a lovely dog and now he's found a special new owner."&nbsp;
