PEP GUARDIOLA says Phil Foden is stuck in sixth gear but having a third child might finally slow him down.
Manchester City playmaker Foden, 23, is enjoying the season of his life and this week his four-year-old son Ronnie announced on social media that mum and dad are expecting their third child.
Foden has scored 24 goals in all competitions, is among the favourites to be Footballer of the Year and yet Guardiola insists the England star can still improve his game.
Guardiola says Foden always plays at top speed when he should learn to slow down and catch opposing defenders by surprise when he turns on the turbo jets.
City boss Guardiola (inset, with Foden) said: "I would love him to go in sixth gear in every single action but afterwards you are less precise, you lose the ball all the time and that is not effective.
