TORY chair Nadhim Zahawi is fighting for his political life after growing calls for him to quit over his tax penalty scandal.
Last night Sir Jake Berry, his predecessor as party chairman, joined the ranks of Tories piling on the pressure for Zahawi to resign. He urged the former chancellor to "step aside" while officials investigate his HMRC fine.
