Show from players was was 'quite disgusting' SAYS WILLIE MILLER

The Irishman's final stance was Saturday's 6-0 defeat at Easter Road and minutes after the whistle he was relieved of his duties by chairman Dave Cormack.

His short and disappointing rein came to an abrupt end with a team in freefall, less than a year after he had been headhunted from St Mirren.

Aberdeen's last three results saw them lose 5-0 at Hearts, slump to the worst result in their history when they were humiliated 1-0 at Darvel in the Scottish Cup and then being hit for six at Easter Road.

Goodwin was set to be axed after the Darvel defeat but Cormack kept him in a job, claiming he'd spoken to the players and the Aberdeen dressing room was still behind him.

For his own players to then go on and put the final nail in Goodwin's Aberdeen coffin at Easter Road was in Miller's words: "quite disgusting".
