LEWIS FERGUSON knows Aberdeen are underdogs but when it comes to League Cup semis with Rangers they love to bite.

The Scotland star's winner for the Dons in 2018 left him in the doghouse with his two brothers. Now Jim Goodwin's class of 2023 travel to the National Stadium this Sunday hoping to take their lead from Derek McInnes' side.

The Dons back then left Steven Gerrard's side down and out and Ferguson said: "My whole family was there and my two brothers, Darren and Ross, are massive Rangers fans. They were all so happy for me personally but it's fair to say that because it was the only goal of the game my brothers weren't best pleased with me.

"When I got back home I was in the doghouse and it took me a wee while to talk them back round.

Ferguson, now making a name for himself in Serie A with Bologna, added: "It was my first game at Hampden because it wasn't long after I'd signed for Aberdeen.
