Disabled woman who caused cyclist death 'shouldn't be in prison'

THE family of a partially blind pedestrian jailed for causing the death of an elderly cyclist say she should not be behind bars.

Auriol Grey, 49, challenged Celia Ward, 77, for cycling on the pavement, shouting, "get off the f***ing pavement" and waving her arm towards her.

The retired midwife toppled into the road and was hit by a car in Huntingdon, Cambs, in October 2020. A jury convicted Grey, who has cerebral palsy, of manslaughter. She was jailed for three years and is serving her sentence in HMP Peterborough.
