The Scion And The Flagship
Augustman Malaysia|February 2024
Augustman spoke to Sincere Fine Watches General Manager Kate Lim at the recent grand opening of the new Sincere Haute Horlogerie flagship in Kuala Lumpur about the SHH brand and its future.

The Scion And The Flagship

WE WERE PRIVILEGED to have attended the grand opening of the new SHH flagship in Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur. It was a dazzling occasion, with gold motifs and a guest list of prominent movers and shakers in the fine watches scene in Southeast Asia. The new flagship takes some design cues from the SHH store in Marina Bay Sands (MBS), such as a private bar to host and entertain guests, and the magnificent lit-up golden galleria to display select timepieces. But it also adds a spacious second-floor private dining area, complete with a state-of-the-art kitchen.

In total, this flagship covers 5,000 square metres and will be home to some of the finest independent watchmakers out there, including Christiaan van der Klaauw, Czapek, Greubel Forsey and H. Moser & Cie. It is SHH’s fifth retail space, adding to the ones in MBS and Takashimaya, as well as flagships in Bangkok and Taipei.

The greater privilege for us was that we got to spend some time with the inner sanctum of Sincere Fine Watches and its parent company Cortina Holdings — including Sincere Watch Limited General Manager Kate Lim, Sincere Watch Limited CEO Ong Ban, Cortina Watch CEO Jeremy Lim and even the head honcho himself, Sincere Watch Limited Chairman Raymond Lim — in the day leading up to the grand opening.
