The manual-winding PR516 chronograph and a collaboration with NBA star Damian Lillard for the PRX show that Tissot is giving high horology a run for its money

TISSOT HAS ENLISTED basketballer Damian Lillard to co-design a special-edition PRX watch using last year’s beloved hit: a gold PVD-coated PRX Powermatic 80 as a base model.

Not only is the NBA star already one of Tissot’s ambassadors, but this time, he designed his own watch by combining his two passions: music and sports. The new Tissot PRX Damian Lillard Special Edition is a daring 40mm PVD gold PRX paying homage to his numerous talents in terms of aesthetics.

Lillard also goes by the stage name Dame D.O.L.L.A., which is short for “Dame Time” — a pseudonym he uses when performing hiphop. As a testament to his virtuosity, four studio albums have been released under his label, Front Page Music, which he founded.

Off court, he’s on screen in Space Jam: A New Legacy, an animated sports comedy set in 2021, featuring Lillard as the voice of Chronos, a gold robotic Goon Squad member and a time-bending avatar of Lillard himself where “Dame Time” served as inspiration for the character.
