One is never truly sure what Subaru is going to do next. A humdrum crossover, a wild concept racer that can be unlocked in Need for Speed Underground, or a performance sedan that harks back to the company's roots. One thing we do know, and it upsets us greatly, is that the next WRX STI will be fully electric. And that's a great shame because the sound of a flat four burbling angrily between gulps of turbo-charged air is a unique experience.
However, if you were in Florida for the annual Subiefest then you would definitely know all about its latest model, the WRX TR, which aims to rekindle the iconic sedan. And this is not a public tease, the 2024 Subaru TR is going on sale and its target market is probably going to include a lot of guys who played hours of Colin McRae Rally on Playstation and spend weekends modifying vapes.
