Based on a true story that captivated Australia, Vanishing Act delves into the bizarre disappearance of financial adviser Melissa Caddick, who vanished in 2020 after embezzling millions from her family, friends and rich clients.
Set in Sydney, the drama stars Wentworth Prison's Kate Atkinson as the glamorous swindler, building up to the moment Caddick went AWOL while out on a run and the media storm that followed.
'It's about a woman who wanted to be someone other than she was and that manifested in needing materialistic belongings,' explains Kate. 'Greed has ramifications.'
