Why did you choose to get into entertainment?
I got into entertainment because I wanted to be popular as a kid. I wanted to be a star! When I was younger I wanted to be a Soul Train dancer…When I got to college I wanted to be in radio. Growing up in Michigan we Chicago radio stations and I used to love to listen to all the DJs at the radio station. I thought they were so cool. I got into radio and it evolved from that!
What do you like about radio?
What I liked about radio back when I was on it is that it was impromptu. You had to think, but you had to create those thoughts into words and use your voice to make those words come out in imagery to people. We didn’t have the luxury of the TV so...I had to make them feel and see with my words. It was about personality and being an entertainer without being on stage.
What changed about radio?
