"The Pyramid Itself Is A Construction That Harbours So Much Energy In It"

Please tell us about your organisation.

In Bengaluru, we have an organisation by the name of Shri Kailash Ashrama Mahasamsthana. The founder of this organisation is our guruji, Sri Sivaratnapuri Trichi Mahaswami. In the year 1960,Swamiji came to Bengaluru from Tirunalveli, Tamil Nadu. He had performed tapasya in Trichi, which is how his name came to be known in its form. He established the Mahasamsthana. The goal of Swamiji was to convey to the masses the beautiful aspects of Indian culture, based on the Vedas, Agamas, and Puranas, and including the correct meaning of some words like tantraas well. Rajarajeshwari Devi was the deity Swamiji used to worship.

How did you develop an interest in spiritualism?

Initially, I was a regular person with a regular life, which we call the past life of a sanyasi. I come from a strong spiritual background due to my family, but I did not touch any related texts at all. I had a regular formal education in the beginning like anyone else. Around the age of 20, there was a slow movement in the mind which cannot be explained in words. There was a receding attraction to the worldly life, where everything is beautiful but the inclination is not there to go towards worldly life. During the 1980s, while others used to travel to tourist spots, I only visited temples. By the time I was 26, I had concluded mentally that I had been chosen for this life. I met my master at the age of 27, and thereafter my life is what you see today as a monk.
