DECODES THE DNA OF PROFITABILITY

India Fashion Forum (IFF), the largest fashion retail intelligence event of South Asia, successfully concluded its two-day 22nd edition at Conrad Bengaluru. The forum, held between February 28 and March 1, 2023 was a significant convergence of industry captains and observers to address how businesses can ensure long-term survivability in the backdrop of India emerging as a major global market. Chaired by Shailesh Chaturvedi, MD & CEO of Arvind Fashions, this year's event attempted to deconstruct the 'DNA of profitability'.

Prelude to the grand event was India Brand Show 2023 which was held on February 27, 2023, at Bengaluru's Nexus Koramangala, Leading fashion brands such as Being Human, Azorte and Forever New, to mention some, showcased their latest and upcoming product ranges at the event.

The first day of IFF began with a presentation by Saloni Nangia, President, Technopak, who shared a comprehensive outlook of the Indian fashion market and a forecast on how the industry will be shaped up in the coming years. This was followed by the outgoing chairman's welcome address. "I had an easy stint. I was sitting at home right through Covid. So I leave a lot to Shailesh (Chaturvedi) to really handle the future," Akhilesh Prasad, Chairman of the 21st edition of IFF said.

"Differentiated product proposition, differentiated service proposition and operational excellence are going to be very important. As we run a large e-commerce business as well as offline, product differentiation is the key to success".
