A new start-up Incubation and Acceleration Centre was inaugurated Union Minister for Heavy by Industries Dr Mahendra Nath Pandey on Feb 4 during the 'Towards Panchamrit-Conference and Exposition' event that was organised by the International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT) to showcase the Indian automotive industry's readiness towards the clean mobility transformation, and to drive adoption of the five clean propulsion alternatives-hydrogen, ethanol, biodiesel, biogas and electric vehicles.
The first-of-its-kind incubation centre for automotive products will nurture and hand-hold start-ups in developing future products that are ready for the market. The Union minister said that in line with the Prime Minister's announcements at COP26 to take measures to become a carbon-neutral country by 2070, the Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) is taking comprehensive efforts to move towards fulfilling this vision.
