With very few tourists, amazing landscapes, delectable fare and a number of breathtaking things to see, the country offers something beyond the stereotypical vampire myths and legends of Transylvania. This region of Romania is known for impressive castles and idyllic villages that will certainly make you stop for a while.

Just like any other place, if you visit Romania during the low season (September through June), and book your accommodation and flight tickets well in advance, it will be really a great trip on budget.
