The 21-year-old from Derby helped England recover from the parlous position of 96-6 in the 15th over after Tammy Beaumont had fallen for 21 and Stafanie Taylor, with two wickets, had led a disciplined Windies bowling attack.

Glenn cracked 26 from 19 deliveries with four boundaries, sharing a seventh-wicket stand of 46 in five overs with the veteran Katherine Brunt as England racked up 151-8 from their 20 overs.

“It really means a lot because I really, really don’t want to try and be seen as just a bowler or batter, I want to be seen as a genuine all-rounder,” Glenn said. “I’ve been working hard on my batting over the last few years to be genuine allrounder.”
