Week 10: Arizona 32, Buffalo 30

what went right

• A resilient, gutsy effort right up until the shock ending — Had the Bills not suffered defeat in devastating fashion at the very end, we’d be talking about this game as a statement win for Sean McDermott, Josh Allen and the Bills. Allen (32 of 49 for 284 yards, 2 TDs, 2 INTs and one receiving TD) overcame a few difficult moments and led the Bills on what appeared to be a defining comeback drive late in the fourth quarter. His touchdown pass to Stefon Diggs with 34 seconds remaining was a truly incredible throw considering the circumstances, and Diggs himself delivered the goods by making an amazing catch on his end. It’s a shame that it all was for naught.

Bills defense again makes some plays — In what’s been an ongoing trend for a couple of weeks, the Bills defense had some difficult moments but also came through with several key turnovers at big times.

QUARTERBACKS: TOP AVAILABLE FREE AGENTS

Dak Prescott, Cowboys 6-2 • 235 pounds • 27 years old A solid starter who has a nice TD-INT ratio over his first five seasons (104-40), Prescott is an accurate thrower and very mobile. However, he’s coming off a compound fracture and dislocation of his right ankle, so it remains to be seen if this will impact his game moving forward.

TIGHT ENDS: TOP AVAILABLE FREE AGENTS

Hunter Henry, Chargers 6-5 • 250 pounds • 29 years old A very talented player, Henry has had issues staying healthy, unable to complete an NFL season, including missing the entire 2018 season with a torn ACL. But when healthy, he’s a terrific all-around tight end who really connected with Justin Herbert in 2020 with 60 catches. Henry is very good at finding holes in zone coverage.

Howard's performance should be saluted

We were fortunate to witness a truly dominant performance this season by cornerback Xavien Howard. It wasn’t only his 10 interceptions, tying a longstanding team record and the most in the NFL since 2007, it was the way he played with such confidence and at such a high level of efficiency.
