FORMER Royal Marine, triple amputee and all-round Plymouth hero Mark Ormrod has been presented with an ITV Pride of Britain Award for raising hundreds of thousands of pounds by undertaking great feats of endurance.
Mark Ormrod has completed a 5km run, a 1km swim across Plymouth Sound, and will take on a 99.9 mile bike ride later this month to raise money for the veterans’ charity REORG. Currently, his impressive fundraising efforts have raised over £450,000 – and, with the 99.9-mile bike ride looming, that total is sure to keep going up.
