The show has been reimagined from screen to stage, and stars international&nbsp;dancer and actor Robbie Fairchild as silent movie icon George Valentin, West End favourite Gary Wilmot as film director AI Zimmer, and Briana Craig (42nd Street) as rising star Peppy Miller.
Renowned George meets aspiring actress Peppy, but, as Peppy's career and fame soars, George's slumps as he refuses to embrace the Talkies revolution.
Several themes emerge throughout the story, from a young woman finding her&nbsp;voice, to a man refusing to change and feeling like there's no place for him in the world anymore.
Plymouth audiences will be the first to experience this love story that falters as quickly as it begins; a tale that sees careers collide and desperation lead to near-tragedy.
Directed by Drew McOnie, the show is being premiered in Plymouth and begins a limited run on Saturday, May 11 to May 25.
