THE family of Nora Quoirin have welcomed the overturning of an inquest verdict into the 15-year-old’s death from “misadventure” to an open ruling.
A High Court judge agreed with the teenager’s family it was “unlikely” the “shy and retiring” girl wandered off into the dark Malaysian jungle by herself.
Nora’s relieved mum Meabh said “It’s a very big day for us. We’re very pleased with the outcome.
“Nora was always going to be worth fighting for, we wanted this verdict.”
