GRUBBY cars littered with takeaway wrappers, used tissues and half-eaten snacks are a health danger, experts say.

Dirty interiors are a breeding ground for bacteria as food finds its way into grooves and corners then grows moldy, a study found.

More than one in 20 drivers admit leaving their children's half-munched food on the back seat.
