Cleeve win would put him on track for Stavers
CHRIS GOULDING

CHAMP is expected to book his ticket for the Stayers' Hurdle rather than the Gold Cup - at Cheltenham in March when he runs in Saturday's Cleeve Hurdle at the Cotswold course.

After his disappointing performance in last season's Gold Cup, Champ returned in style when taking the Long Walk Hurdle at Ascot last month.
