Doreen Lofthouse, who died in March aged 91, was dubbed “the mother of Fleetwood” after pumping millions of pounds into the Lancashire fishing port.

She made her fortune after expanding the lozenges’ sales.

Fortune

For 100 years it was just sold locally in the Lofthouse family run chemist shop.
