Andrew deletes royal social media accounts

PRINCE Andrew’s Twitter account has been deleted – days after the Queen forced him to step down permanently from his royal roles.

His @TheDukeofYork handle, which he used to promote his work, now brings up a blank page, apart from the message: “This account doesn’t exist.”

Separately, Andrew’s YouTube account is no longer accessible and his Instagram account is now private.

His reduced status is also evident on the British monarchy’s official website, where all his honorary positions and charity links have been removed.
