With the Opening of FLC QUY NHON Golf Links, FLC Group’s Commitment to Golf Development in Vietnam Is Paving the Way for Golf Tourism in the Country.

If there were to be a motto for FLC Group’s strategy to golf resort development, it has to be “build it and they will come”. Extrapolated from the famous quote in the 1989 movie “Field of Dreams”, starring Kevin Costner, it underscores the bold and farsighted approach taken by the Vietnam property conglomerate into the golf resort sphere.

Case in point is the new FLC Quy Nhon Golf Links and Luxury Resort opened no more than a year ago along the beautiful coast of Nhon Ly. This 10km stretch of sandy shore is as idyllic as it comes. Turquoise waters, and an unimpeded straight-line horizon offer seaside holidaymakers a perfect playground for their water activities, or just lazing on the sand. The dunes that make up this part of Vietnam also offer the perfect topography, and geology, to build a golf course.

Nicklaus Design’s work at FLC Quy Nhon Golf Links certainly did justice to this near-perfect location.

Given the premise of such a development, real estate was always going to be a factor at FLC Quy Nhon. Together with a 323-room “condotel”, there are also 90 villas (17 of which face the sea), all of which are for sale to investors – foreign and local – with leaseback options. All this sits on over 180 hectares of choice land right by the sea, with 71 hectares dedicated to the Nicklaus course.

AMATEURS OFTEN STAND OVER THE BALL with their feet too wide apart. I understand the appeal—they want to feel more stable throughout the swing, and a wider stance seems a logical way to achieve that.
